Status Notifier Support
Most problems are fixed in a minute with the steps below. If not, email us — we reply within 1–2 business days (Pacific Time).
Common issues
Sign-in or authorization problems
Microsoft Teams needs a work or school Microsoft 365 account — personal Outlook.com or Hotmail accounts can't share Teams status. If Teams asks for admin approval, send your IT admin the link the app shows; it's a one-time step. For Discord, join our Presence Notifier community server when the app asks, then sign in again.
Status not updating
Check Dashboard → Status Source shows the platform you use, then click Refresh. The free app checks about every 30 seconds. Discord sync needs a paid plan.
Light not connecting
Plug the controller's lead into the light bar and the supplied cable into a USB-A port on the computer itself, not an unpowered hub. Unplug, wait 5 seconds, and plug back in, or press Reset on the controller. Bluetooth pairing (hwB models only) is in the manual.
Firmware update
The Windows app and the direct-download Mac app update the light themselves. Using the Mac App Store version? Use the free Firmware Tool on the download page.
